Denmark

Denmark has been out of the football competition scene for the past few years, but are ready to make a comeback.  Denmark is a small country that is able to recruit some world-class talent. The Danish team was able to gain a spot in the 2010 World Cup finals by winning nine of their ten qualifying matches.

The strength of the Danish team is really in their midfield players.  They are able to control the ball and make it go in the direction that they want with ease.  The team’s midfielders are able to set up some killer plays that keep crowds entertained.

The weakness of the Danish team is there front line.  The front line has heart, but lacks experience.  The Danes best chance for goals are from long-range shots rather than powerful strikers.

Thomas Sorensen, the goalkeeper, is another great asset to the team.  He has played against some of the best clubs in the world and is able to keep his cool.  If you want to see long-range shots look out for, Jakob Poulsen.  Poulsen has awesome ball control and is a staple in the Danish midfield.  On the defensive end of the field, the player to watch for is Simon Kjaer.  He is the player to analyze for some serious ball stopping ability.

The Danish are in a hard group for the Group Stage.  The Netherlands will be the Danes greatest challenge.  Denmark versus Japan will be the best game to watch.  Hopefully the Danes truly are back and ready to put up a fight.
