Argentina
Argentina is one of the most famous soccer teams in the world. The Argentineans have won the World Cup two times before and make regular appearances at the finals.
Playing in South America, Argentina had to play some difficult teams in their qualifying matches. The Argentina narrowly qualified with a 1-0 to win against Uraguay. Despite their struggle to qualify, the Argentineans have high hopes for the World Cup Finals in South Africa.
The Argentineans’ greatest assets are partnerships all over the field. These partnerships create synergies and help to control the ball in each section of the field. Attacks happening within team partnerships can be quite lethal.
The Argentina team’s greatest weakness is their coaching. Diego Armando Maradona, the coach, has little experience. The team fails to setup meaningful strategies. The inexperience of Maradona has created some conflicts on the team and that worries the team’s countryman.
Despite having troubles with coaching, Argentina has some real stars on their team. Lionel Messi may be the best soccer player in the world right now. Most of Messi’s success has come while playing on teams other than his national one. Hopefully Messi will setup his performance for the Argentina team. Look for Javier Mascherano in the midfield to be feeding the ball to Messi.
Argentina is the favored team in their group and hopes to go far this year. Any team in the round has the potential to beat Argentina, so they must play their best because the others will fight hard to win.
