World Cup Preview: Germany vs. Serbia
On the 18th of June we will all get to see the matchup that we have been waiting for as Germany and Serbia will take on each other. These two teams are both part of Group D, which is viewed as one of the tougher groups in the entire tournament that will take place this summer.
Germany is currently viewed as the favorite team of Group D, but will have no easy time with Serbia. Many different rankings have Germany as one of the top teams in the world. This is largely because of their strong offensive attack that Serbia will have to deal with. This attack is led by players such as Lukas Podolksi.
Serbia is probably a stronger defensive team than Germany is, but they will be facing a stronger offensive attack than they are probably used to. Few teams in the world have as many offensive weapons as Germany does. This being said, Serbia is not a team to look down upon.
Serbia has a large crew of players that play in the top club leagues in the world. This sort of experience will be a huge advantage for Serbia as they take on tough teams. These players have played against some of the better players in the world and know how to handle themselves under pressure.
Serbia also has a formidable offensive line and they in particular may have the ability to take out Germany of all of the teams in Group D. This should be the most exciting matchup of all of the games that will take place in this Group of the 2010 World Cup.
